    • Hi Rosina! Thank you so much for your interest in La Roca. We are working hard to find distributors in Spain and Gib. Please consider spreading the word. The bigger our fan base, the more broadcasters will be interested in telling this story.
Stay tuned on Facebook for upcoming news!

      • You should consider talking with the Instituto Cervantes in Gibraltar they do have a film room like an small cinema and do film proyections I believe they should be interested

      • Muchas gracias por tu sugerencia, Maria. Estamos abriendo muchas posibilidades para llevar la película a Gibraltar lo antes posible. Tendremos noticias muy pronto!

        Abrazos, Raúl

  1. Can’t wait to see this after long awaiting its release, yet i have to wait to see this when it comes out in Gib or Spain.
Leisure Cinemas if you read this, you should project this screen for Gibraltarians and others to see.
@ Filmmakers – Thanks.. this really brings a change to the atmosphere we are currently living with cross border relations. Nice to know that I will see something that is purely history and not politically motivated in any way.

    I am following closely 😉

    • Coming from Spain I very much doubt that it will be purely historic and not politically motivated. That is, unless its simply another Trojan Horse like the Instituto Cervantes.

  2. i was in this film. i met the director and was fortunate enough to work with raul and some of his team in the starbar filming a scene in which i was supporting england in a football match along side tito vallejo and other members of cave explorers gibraltar.

  4. Guys!! Excellent work! Trailer looks fantastic. I am a Gibraltarian living in Barcelona!! I am already sending the link around to all my contacts! Look forward to seeing the movie on the big screen! Congratulations for a remarkable achievement!

  5. Raul, a continuation t o this storywould be to do a documentary on what happened after the frontier was closed. Particularly the thousands of people who had to leave their families and go to places like London. a whole generation of people was born outside of la linea as a consequence of the border closing……..I havent seen the film yet so am not sure if it covers this massive migration and the consequences that it created…

  6. It’s a shame that a film about recent Gibraltarian history wasn’t premiered in Gibraltar and that the people of Gibraltar cannot see the film due to the lack of local screenings. Please get this film shown in Gibraltar!

    • Yes, right? It is unbelievable how little interest there is in releasing this movie. Despite the awards, nominations and public acclaim, not a single investor has been willing to help to get this story out there. We won’t give up so easily, Gabrielle. If we have come all this way is because we believe that this story of Linenses and Gibraltarians must be told. Follow us on Facebook for upcoming news and spread the word to anyone who might be able to help us financially. Sooner or later, we will succeed. Thanks, Gabrielle.

  7. Hi,

Is there any plan to release this in the UK?

Gib is an emotive issue here, everyone has a view about it and I think that it would be a popular film.

    • Hello Sarah, we are putting all our efforts in reaching an agreement that would allow the film to come out. Unfortunately, this requires time, work and tons of luck. But we will make it. I promise. Gracias por apoyarnos. Follow us on Facebook for upcoming news. Abrazos.

    • Hello Chris,

Thank you so much for your interest in our work. We would love to screen the film in the UK but we haven¹t found any distributors/theatres/etc that are interested. We are hopeful and keep working hard. If you happen to know any cinemas that might be interested in offering a screening, please share! That will make us really happy.

  8. From all your comments it seems that it is as always a question of who pays and puts the money up front/investors. Speak to the local authorities involved but you will get more from Gibraltar Government who are more solvent…………….thereafter just get on with it and release a DVD which I am sure that it will be purchased. Just give us a date for the DVD, say via Amazon.can’t wait any longer!

    • Hey Bill, thanks for your email and your advice. We finally signed a deal with a DVD distribution company! It happened a few days ago and I am just waiting for the release date to make it official. Stay tuned! 🙂

      • Good news…at last! Now stop the teasing of “just waiting for the release date” and give us all an idea of when?. I intend to see my father in Gibraltar in early November and it would be good to take the DVD so that he can appreciate. He will be 88 years old and remembers the time when he married my spanish mother from la linea (LL). I am also from Gib (residing in the UK), married with a spanish lady from LL. The generation in LL need to recall the facts and this would be a good time as over the years there has unfortunately been so much misunderstanding affecting the present young generation. So come on give us an idea of when please.

        Thanks.
